Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington

need legal adivice
i send somone a rc car last week and the guy recived it but did not send his rc car last week i have all the pappers saying he will send it out last thursday and i have not hear from him secnce and i still have no car i also have the pappers saying he recived it it was i belive we had writen agrement that he would send out last week i live in washington and he lives in maine. the car and everthing i sent him was around 250 dollers was wondering if he does not contact me if i could sue him in small clams court thanks for you time

Yes, you probably could. The issue is whether a small claims court here has jurisdiction over him because he lives elsewhere.

That is an interesting question regarding long-arm jurisdiction.

If I were advising you, I'd say file it and be prepared to explain to the Court why it has jurisdiction.

You can serve via certified mail.
