Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington

malicious prosecution

I am being prosecuted by the County for ''having an illegal repair done on my septic system without a permit'' This is not true. On their own website it states that this kind of repair is legal. I hired a licensed professional to do the job, and I have been harrassed for almost 2 years over this. Even a member of the health dept. (20 yrs) said that they had no right to prosecute me or to 'red tag' my house. I'm 75.. and a widow. I think they need to pay me for all the stress they have put me through, and money they have cost me over this. Do you think it's possible for me to do this myself? I have much information and many professionals that say I am being treated differently than others . HELP. I'm tired of this and just want to live a peaceful life in my home that does NOT have a septic problem

Thanks

Re: malicious prosecution

I'd need to know more about the facts at issue to properly advise you.

I can't tell from what you provided what the problem is with the County and why they have decided to prosecute. Did your professional get a permit to do the work?

They are not going to pay you for the stress you have been going through, nor is the County going to have to reimurse you for anything.

No, frankly, I do not think you are doing well by doing this yourself. I think if you hired counsel it would be fixed in short order.

The professional you need is an attorney. If you call the Bar Association in Tacoma, they will set you up with a low-cost consultation. or you can look on Avvo for an attorney who does real property issues.

Avvo is a v v o.com. Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
