Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington

order on summary judgement

In July of 2001 I received a summary judgement for the recovery of attorney fees and costs for the estate of my husband. As of present date I received no communication or payment from the plantiff. I have contacted my lawyer and it was suggested to garnish wages ? How can this been done when they are self employeed?

Re: order on summary judgement

Chapter 6.27 RCW, GARNISHMENT sets out the procedures for garnishing judgments. This statute can be obtained at http://slc.leg.wa.gov. I also recommend you contact an attorney to assist you in garnishing wages to ensure that you do not run afoul of the Fair Dect Collection Practices Act.
