Sued for rent by former roommate
Can a former roomate sue me for rent after I vacated the apartment and settled up with the landlord?

Sounds like your relationship with your landlord ended okay, but not your relationship with your co-tenant. Did you and your roommate have an agreement that you would pay your roommate rent - or did you pay your landlord? I can't tell from the facts you present.
In a theoretical universe, anybody can sue for anything. Whether or not they prevail depends on what they can prove. If your landlord was satisfied that you fulfilled the terms of your agreement, it is difficult to tell on what grounds your co-tenant has a claim against you.
