I won a small claims judgement against my landlord in the sum of $5ooo.oo can i take money off my rent. or how can i collect.

Now that is interesting! My suggestion is that you agree with him to do it if possible. There is no legal ability to simply not pay and deduct to my knowledge, BUT you run into an interesting situation where on the first of the month (or whenever you owe him money) you are suddenly "indebted" to him in X rental amount. It might be ridiculously possible to get a writ of garnishment against yourself. I would probably not go that route, but you might want to look into it as it would, at first glance, seem to be technically possible.

NOTE: You cannot collect in any way other than voluntarily from a small claims judgment - it has to be elevated to district or superior court.
