Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

Hello Attorney Valencia, This question is for you; I am marrying an Illegal citizen from Mexico. He entered the US when he was 17. He is 26 now we have been living together for one year. What are our best options on applying for his green card and what do I do first ? Should we marry soon or does that matter? I don't want him to be deported for any amount of time for he is our families soul supporter. I don't know anything about the Immigration Laws and this is my first time applying for a green card. Thank you for any help on this matter.

Hello:

Some will depend if he is under 245(i). I would need to know if he ever filed a petition before (or if his parents filed anything.) Otherwise, it would be the K3 Visa plus a Waiver of the 10 year bar.
