Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

child support and immigration

A woman was with a non-US citizen for 8 years in the state of Washington, but they were never married. They are no longer together, but have a 2 year old daughter. If she legally tries to collect child support, might he get deported?

Re: child support and immigration

For the most part the child support and the immigration issues will be separate. The court can decide upon a parenting plan and child support without addressing his legal status.
