Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington
Can I leave the U.S. with a green card?
I have 2-year green card, can I go to another country to work? My green card is about 1 year old. Also, must I be present next year when I am switching it to a 10-year green card?
Thanks

Since you have a conditional green card and are planning to leave for over 6 months (so it seems) you should definitely speak to an immigration attorney. You want to make sure that you don't abandon your green card. Also, speak to the attorney about what steps you can take if you do want to stay out for over 6 months.
If you would like to contact our office we can schedule a consultation to go though your details.
