misdemeanor and green card

A person is an adjustment applicant. He was arrested and charged with class 1

and class 4 misdeameanor. How does it affect his ability to get a

green card and later a citizenship? If he is not convicted, found not guilty, but still have arrest record, will this arrest record affect his green card or citizenship?

Washington State only has two classes of misdemeanor--simple and gross. The class of misdemeanor does not determine the affect on the green card or citizenship. It depends on the specific charge and the specific outcome of the case. Yes, the arrest alone could affect his citizenship. The outcome of the case will affect the green card. A lack of "conviction" will protect him but immigration and criminal courts define "conviction" differently. If you need more help contact me below.
