Re: permanent resident card renew

Was you check to USCIS deposited? Did you receive a receipt notice for the renewal? Give me the answers to these two questions and let me know what you find out.

Re: permanent resident card renew

Do you have any legal problem that would make you deportable? Such problems include convictions of domestic violence, convictions of many felonies, and many other bases.

If you do have a deportable basis, you may have problems when re-entering the US or when you go to the offices of immigration services .

Did you go to have your fingerprints taken after you submitted your renewal application?

Did you move after submitting the application?

Sometimes, the mail do get lost.

If your green card is just delayed because of name check, USCIS announced a few weeks ago that it is expediting certain applications even if they are pending background check.

You can also schedule an InfoPass appointment with the Seattle USCIS office to get temporary evidence of permanent residency.

You may want to see an attorney before doing anything.
