Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

Protection

How can I get a protection by law against a person that is a threat to me, my family, and others close to me? How can I get the truth about the men that I am married to his past history and records? How can I get information from the immigration department about this person?

Re: Protection

I am sorry to hear of your difficult and hope that your suspicions about your husband turn out to be unfounded. Whatever the truth may be, a lawyer can help you with all the problems you mention. You should petition the court for a protection order for protection for you and your family. You can request the criminal history of your spouse through the Washington State Patrol. You can make a FOIA request to immigration to get their information about your husband. Contact me directly if you'd like help with any or all of these.

Re: Protection

As far as seeking immigration information about the person, the person can file a freedom of information request to the FBI, Dept. of Homeland Security, and the Dept. of Justice, (see http://immigrationflowchart.com (a free service) end431, end622, end160, end168).
