Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

removing conditional status from green card after divorce

I want to file for divorce soon and my greencard is still conditional(based on marriage).

I just would like to get a feel for how likely it is, that my waiver(to file jointly with husband) will be accpted.

I married in 2003 in Germany, lived with my husband in Japan from Nov 03-April 05 and since then live in the states alone.

He was on my first lease contract but stationed overseas the whole time.

We have a daugther of almost 4 together and until recently I depended financially totally on him.

I have a good job now and take care of myself, I want to find closure and don't want to wait.

Can you tell me what you think?

I am scared if I move forward now that I might loose everything, but I want to move on and don't wait until April 2007.

I have to proove that I entered the marriage faithfully and I don't know hoe exactly I do that. Help me please

Re: removing conditional status from green card after divorce

I think you have a pretty good chance that you enetered the marriage with the intent to stay married. You have a child from the marriage and you moved around together and have those leases. I do advise you to seek representation and not to try this on your own.
