my son
iam a green card holder since 2002, applied a petition to my ( unmarried son who is now 30years old) in July 2006 in California service center .
how long does it take to get his visa??
and if he gets married overseas before getting his visa ..what could be the consequences ?

It can take approximately 8 years for him to become a permanent resident based on your application for him. If he gets married during the time that the application is pending, then the application is no longer valid.
If you become a US citizen, then the wait time would be a few years less. You should speak with an immigration attorney to discuss the process in detail so that both you and your son understand the procedures and the wait time.
