Legal Question in Insurance Law in Washington

Car Accident

I was in a car accident in March. A lady hit my side of the car. I am going to the chirporactor right now but he said that the last appointment that I had was going to be the last one that he was going to pay. Is there anything that I can do? And he wants to settle the claim now but I told him that I was not ready because I still had appointments with the chiropractor. He said that he was not going to pay them or pay me for my time off. I think that he is trying to take advantage of me. What would be the right amount to settle for. My daughter also hit her head that day and I took her to the hospital and he wants to do 2 claims for that is that how it should be?

Re: Car Accident

We can help determine whether there is available "first-party" insurance coverage to pay for your and your daughter's medical expenses and, if not, whether your medical providers are willing to provide treatment on a "lien" basis. You should also be aware that your claim and your daughter's claims are separate and that minors' settlements must be court-approved in Washington.

There are a number of issues to discuss. Please feel free to email me or give me a call. Thank you very much.
