Rear-ended, but says we 'stopped abrutely'
My car was rear-ended in a 76 gas station parking lot. But my car was not insured during the time of the accident. So I was told to take a claim out with his insurance company. After gathering statements his insurance company told us to go around and put my car in the shop, and even gave us a rental car. The damages were about $4400. Farmers had an adjuster go out, and decided to total it. They already moved to my car to the junk yard, without my knowledge... but are now saying that they are not going to pay for all of the loss because they've decided to reinvestigate on it and claims that we 'stopped abrutely' and is our fault. What I don't understand is how can you already give the go and send the car to the shop, move my car without my acknowlegement, and after they declaired it 'totaled' are now saying they're not going to fully pay for it. Is there anything I can do in this situation?

yes. you can file suit against Farmers for breach of contract, injury to property, etc. Please give me a call and I would be happy to assist you with this problem. I already have experience dealing with our "friends" at Farmers.
