Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Washington

I own a domain name that I created and used to benefit the church I was with The pastor of the church and I had a parting of the ways, i offered to continue the website and maintain it for the church but he told me to remove it, I did and keeping in mind I did not give the church the domain name and I never transfered ownership of it, I put a new site in its place, He seen this and ordered me to take it down, then he said he was going to sue me for everything I have, My question is I own the domain name I own all creative content that went into the development of the old site, I paid for everything that went into the old church site and there was no help from the church in developing it. Does he have a case of ownership or can he block me from putting a site up with a domain name that i clearly own. the old site is gone and i have had google remove it from the search engine

As a Franchise Attorney I'm surprised a man of God would threaten to sue you for everything you have. God forbid! Going to the merits of your question, it appears the pastor is also on shaky ground legally. Of course, all facts and circumstances would need to be considered and evaluated. Consult with a good intellectual property or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
