Forfiture of Vehicles

if a spouce has thier vehicle forfitured to the police department because of drugs and the other spouce claim in court a petition for the vehicle back but because her name s not on the title or registration is she entitled to petition the court for the vehicle? she has been married to her husband for several years before the truck was taken by the police department they purchased the vehicle together and paid it off in full together. does she have the right. if so do you know of any (Federal, State, or even Tribal) cases?

The last I heard about this, they got to keep the car and you would be out of luck. But I'm not familiar with WA law. Our WA member attorney could research this for you.
