If I take a photograph of a group of people and sell it. Do I need a release from each person?

I'm not licensed in Washington state, so I can advise you specifically, but in most states, it's illegal to use someone's likeness for commercial purposes without consent.
If you're SELLING the photo, that's a commercial use.
Consent should be in writing... so yes, I'd say you DO need a release from each person.
