Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Washington
My ex-husband has custody of our children (in Louisiana) because I moved out of state, but my 16-year-old daughter wants to live with me. Can she just move out here (Washington) since she is 16, or do we have to go through legal proceedings? Thank you.

That is a question for Loiusiana law. However, as a practical matter, if she comes to WA that may resolve the situation. But if the courts are involved, you would have to address the matter in LA so long as the custody order was there and the father still lives there.
