It is probably not illegal discrimination. If you are being told that you are intimidating because of the way you are accustomed to expressing yourself (maybe you tend not to waste words and are very blunt, or maybe you have a habit of making jokes that might not be right for the workplace) then this is not discrimination, because you are not being singled out because of your membership in a protected group.

It might be discrimination, however, if you are deemed "intimidating" because you are a young African American male, or if you are the only male in an otherwise all female workplace, or perhaps the only female in an all male workplace, or the only person in his or her 50's working among 20-somethings.

In an open and sincere way, ask for input from your supervisor as to why you seem intimidating. The response you receive should tell you whether the problem is your membership in a protected group, as well as whether this is something you have it within your power to correct.
