Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

I need to know if i can break my non compete. I was hired for a job then they sent me to a new contract were the job is different. they signed a new cointract with the company they sent me too without asking me. My contract stipultaes a completely different set of responsibilites yet now i am ask to do way mopre than before with no change in pay or job title and i cannot return to my previous contract

You describe what you don't like about the "new contract", but say little about the non-competition agreement. Those agreements (contracts) are typically quite detailed about what they limit usually by describing the work that you were/are doing at time of signing. Without more details, answering your query accurately is not possible.

Even if the non-competition agreement might appear to be enforcible by your employer, there are exceptions to when a court will enforce the agreements, and that is where the court deems them to be unreasonable. That issue and reaching an informed opinion about it also depends on a lot of additional information. I've been looking at both sides of these agreements for clients for over 30 years and I would not attempt an answer without much more information.
