Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington
I am currenlty a auto service advisor. I was just laid off. I was hired in a service deoartment to replace someone who would adhere to the new service policies. I was there one month and found out the the guy I replaced was friends with the owner and managment had a meeting and they were told to bring him back and to lay me off. I was working at a steady job when they started talking to me and brought me on board to there service department. Since my old job has been filled. Is this legal what they just did?

Whether you can recover for your financial losses depends on a number of factors. One of the first questions that must be answered is "How good is the evidence that the management meeting occurred and that they acted as you believe and as you described in your statement?"
Without proof (that is admissible to the court) that what you believe happened is what actually happened, the case gets much weaker.
If you can prove all that you believe happened, then you probably have a good case.
