Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington
employer health coverage
If you were hired with a contract that
stated you were entitled to full vision,
health and dental benefits and then
when you tried to use dental benefits
and found out you were given half
the coverage due to a human
resources error (late enrollment by
employer) what are my rights?

Re: employer health coverage
Under Washington law, there is no entitlement to health benefits from your employer. Any rights you may have are the rights you acquired in the contract. The contract should also define what your remedies are. Generally, you should be entitled to the benefit of the bargain, but what the contract actually says will control what your options are.
