Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

Employer plans to sue

Can an employee be sued by an employer for the cost of training that occurred as a requirment of the job if the employer fires the employee because he feels the employee did not live up to the terms of the employment agreement (verbal)? Can the employer also sue the (fired) employee to be reimburessed for the cost of hiring/training a new employee?

The employer has not paid the employee for what is owed for the time already worked.
