Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

Is it illegal to work in 2 different salons at the same time. I'm starting a salon business and still work for another salon. I want to wait till the end of Dec 31 2011 to quit the salon i currently work at. So can I do both until the end of the year?

There is nothing illegal about working at two salons, and many people do so. However, you may have a non-compete clause in your contract that might apply (and the clause may also be void/voidable if it exists at all). Without some agreement limiting where you can work, then you should be fine.
