Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington
on the job injury
about 20 years ago I was pushed off a ladder a work by another employee and basiclly told not to press charges by my employer at the city. Isuffered a back injury that still bothes me today. 12 years ago I fell off a fire truck and had my neck fused and back sugery at the same time. I went back to work 5 weaks after my sugery. In January of this year I reinjured my wrist, arm, shoulder, neck back and left leg is still numb and fells like it is on fire. I was on light duty at the city and my boss told me to repair a sending unit in an under ground fule tank while replacing the 3' x 3' steel lid it fell in the hole and injuring me. I have been off wotk for 3 months and I finally got approvial for wrist and elbow surgery. I called my city risk manager and told him I was dissapointed it has taken 3 months just to get my wrist and elbow approved for sugery and I asked him if he would help get things moving faster because I wanted to get back to work. Ialso yold him my back doctor needed approvial for another neck fusion and disc replacement. The claims manager said look this is very complicated you were on light duty and got hurt and we are not going let you come back on light duty and depending on your injuries you might not be able to.

What's your question?
Look, you obviously need to hook up with an attorney who specializes in worker's compensation and personal injury. You have serious issues, and you're not going to find a magic answer here.
Ask your friends for referrals. If worse comes to worse, look in the Yellow Pages under attorneys for those specializing in workers comp. Interview the attorneys and make sure that the one you hire has a great deal of experience and SUCCESS in these cases.
Good luck to you,
