Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington
I live in Washington State and my employer came to my door univited and without prior knowledge of where I live. I need to know if it is legal for my employer to come to my door and pound on my door while covering the peephole. He claims that he had had an emergency which ended up being taking his wife to a scheduled doctor's appointment. Prior to coming to my door he had left two voice messages. Is this legal for my employer to do?

To knock on your door while covering the peephole is threatening whether he is your employer or not. His stated reason sounds like pretext to me. (I have trouble understanding why his wife's scheduled doctor's appointment is your responsibility.) That's all a bit creepy. If you believe his motivation is an intent to sexually harass you, contact an attorney. And if he shows up at your home again, uninvited, demanding to be let in, call the police.
And, I know this economy is bad, but if at all possible, find another employer.
