Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

I signed a non-compete with my previous employeer. I have since gone to work in the same industry with my previous empooyeers agreement not to persue charges as long as I did not sell into his market segment. He is now going to close his corporate location (where I used to work) and move his entire operation out of state to his 2nd facility and set up there. Would my non-compete be nul and void upon him moving the company headquarters to another state?

Thanks,

Garrett

I would have to read it to know and I think most attorneys would insist on the same. Sorry I can't be more help.

There are a number of issues that your question does not address. Without attempting to be comprehensive, is your agreement (previous employer) in writing, what are the terms of the non-compete agreement, market areas of prior and new employer, etc. You could ask your prior employer, since that would be the entity that would attempt to enforce any alleged breach.
