Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington
my son left his employment due to a hostil work enviroment. This began when he brought up that it was illegal to have an hourly employee work thru their luch and get off an hour earlier. That it is on the "know your rights poster". Now they are asking him to supply them with a letter stating this was volentary due to a personal conflict. Should he comply?

There are unanswered questions in your inquiry. If he writes that letter as the employer requested he will probably be unable to successfully make a claim for any damages he may have suffered as a result of being terminated. Whether he has a good claim or not for damages is an issue than cannot be determined from the information you presented.
