Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

Working for no pay

I am a member of a Teacher's Union. Our contract currently says that if we give up our planning time to cover another teachers class we can only earn up to 1 extra hour of pa. At our school, class periods run 90 minutes. So in essence, we work 90 minutes, but only get paid for 60.

Can a union contract supercede federal labor law?
