Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Washington

Boiler Plate Rental Agreement

I know depending on what state you are in a rental agreement will be slightly different, but do you have available a general boiler plate sample of a Rental Agreement for sale? Or know where i can find one?

Re: Boiler Plate Rental Agreement

Im writing one for a private client right now, and would be happy to discuss your needs and draft you an agreement that meets your needs. If your rental is in Washington State, that is. Otherwise you need to contact counsel in that other state, because they will know the law.

Not trying to be difficult, but I see in my practice the darnedest agreements and I cannot imagine where they came from, but frequently they do not comply with Washington law and that can just cause headaches for both parties. Contracts that are specifically drafted by a pro who knows the law are seldom the source of conflict; the issues arise when one party thinks they are entitled to something that the law says they cannot have or do.

Feel free to contact my office for further assistance.
