Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Washington
Breaking a court order
I was supposed to be evicted on Aug.6,2004, they showed up 3 days early. They broke the court order, not to mention damaging my personal belongings, and putting my property outside, and a lot of it was stolen. I have been told by several different attys. that either the eviction was supposed to start over, or there was suppose to put another writ of restitution on my door, which they did not, or my tenancy was supposed to be restored. Which one is it? Also, I was promosed my security deposit, and I have yet to see it. I have the apt. manager on tape saying she mailed it to me. I was also to by several attys. that I ahve a very good small claims case. I just want to know if I can settle this case, without going to court. Also the atty. for the landlord has called me at least twice a day for about 3 weeks, is this harrassment? I know he is angry because the court order was broken, and I feel this is an attempt to intimidate me. I would like to be contacted by e-amil [email protected]. Thank-You

Please call me; I can help you sort this out. There are questions to which I need to know the answers before I can really offer helpful advice.
At this point, offering to settle just saves your landlord money - but I can't tell whether or not you have a good case on these facts.
Not sure what the BBS rules are re me contacting you - but I know it's OK for you to contact me. [email protected] - Elizabeth
