Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Washington
I am getting evicted from my current place and have to responed by Dec. 22. I would like to stay in my current home until I find a place or Jan. 31, 2012. How do I do that or do I find an attorney to do that for me? i am only one and half months rent behind and don't have the means to pay it all at once.

Go to a housing justice center/Housing Justice Project clinic.
You'll want to force the other side to file the complaint, file your answer with court and send to the other party/counsel, and from there you are PROBABLY hoping for either the other side doesn't understand the process well and did something incorrectly, or that they are willing to negotiate with you.
