Probably not. If they posted the writ today, the writ has to sit for three business days (so until Thursday the 20th) until you can be evicted. This is to give you time to satisfy the amount you owe (the total judgment, including the attorney fees and costs) and avoid the eviction. But if you cannot do that, better to know that you have the weekend to get out, and get yourself relocated.

As a practical matter, in Pierce County the Sheriff will not actually show up until the landlord calls and requests him to show up, AFTER the three day period has expired. Then, they will post another notice, telling you when the physical is scheduled, and ask you to be on your way before then.

If you stay, then there will be a physical eviction as scheduled. But you have until next thursday. Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
