Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Washington
Housing
I live at an apartment building in Seattle, Washington. I just received notice that my rent will increase 3/1. I currently pay $700. If I sign a lease the rent is $725. If I remain month to month my rent increases to $775 which includes a ''$50 month to month fee.'' Is that a legal fee they are allow to tack on?

Re: Housing
Yes, they can do that.
Seattle has additional rules beyond those applied in the rest of the state. The city's website has further information regarding rental increases.
Hope this helps. Powell
