Can a lanlord tell a renter to take down a security camera that is watching our

I just recieved a letter from the landlord with signiture,stating '' Please be advised that all surveillance cameras must be taken down immediately on 7/21/05

Thank you for understanding . Does she have the legal rite to do this?

She can give you a 10-day notice to comply with lease terms. If there is a term in your lease that states "No surveillance cameras allowed" then yes, you'd have to comply.

Otherwise, based on the info you provided, I'd hazard a guess that you are within your rights and not violating any provisions of the RLTA.

If she thinks the camera is damaging a surface, she might try a nuisance/waste eviction which won't fly. Call me if you get any more notices or pleadings. Powell
