Re: Rent house and garage seperately to different parties

Parties can contract like this without running afoul of the RLTA so long as the garage rental is not intended as a tenacy.

But if the landlord wants to rent a house to party A and the garage, as a storage space, to party B, then chances are the court would be okay with that so long as the municipality allowed rental of the garage.

If you are in Seattle, and the landlord plans to put tenants in the garage get ahold of DCLU, as they will not be amused.

People cannot live in garages.

Hope this helps. Powell
