Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Washington
renters rights
I have a 2 week old baby and my landlord has decided to renovate my restroom! It is now day 6 of the ''two'' day project. They are putting a hole in the roof now for a ceiling fan and dragging insulation in and out through my living room. This is not healthy or safe for either of my children and they are not looking to finish for another week or so! What are their responsibilities as far as our compensation for this huge inconvenience?

Re: renters rights
Write to your landlord and tell him this is not okay with you. Then, write to the County or the City where you live, tell them what is happening, and reference RCW 59 18 085 and 110 (which you should go read).
Your right is to end the rental agreement - and arguably they should be compensating you for the aggravation. Read the law. Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
