Your landlord has to give you notice. If you are in Seattle, there may be additional notice requirements. The notice is 60 days (if not longer).

the landlord cannot arbitrarily end your lease early just because he wants to do a condo conversion. There is a price you will accept (some amount of money) to end the lease early. i don't know enough to comment. But if you have a valid lease, then you have a roof over your head so long as 1) you pay your rent on time and 2) the lease term has not yet expired.
