unlawful detainer
I was off work do to a work related injury and got behind on rent . I have now been serverd with a 3 day pay or vacate and now a unlawful detainer they want me to pay a certain amount of money by the 30th of janruary I dont get paid untill the 31st of janruary and at that time i could probubly pay only half the amount due. and i could pay the balance due on feb 13th what action should i take this is our third manager in less than a year the manager before this one was alrite whith these araingments but this one is not what legal steps do i have to take i really dont want to move if i dont half to?

It depends on your contract. If you have a lease, you have five court days after judgment is entered against you to pay the entire judgment and be restored to your tenancy.
If you have a month to month, you can't do this, unfortunately.
The three day option to pay up or move out ended three court days after you got the notice. If you stay there, they are going to ask for a judgment.
If you move out before the hearing, the court is without jurisdiction to enter a judgment, although the plaintiff can amend his pleadings.
If all you can do is come up with half, (and don't forget attorney fees and costs of suit- that is easily another thousand) perhaps the best thing you can do is conserve your resources and move.
