Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Washington
Water service turned off
The rental property I live in has had the water service shut-off since 10/20/03 for non payment. On 11/14/03 the property was foreclosed on and the bank is currently the owner. All the tenants are being evicted on 3/1/04. We have been without water since October, and in the landlord/tenant law book, it says we could get up to $100.00 per day for each day of no water service. It is stated in our rental agreement that water is provided. There is only one meter for 6 units. Who should I contact regarding this matter? Thank you for your time.

Re: Water service turned off
It appears that you have been constructively evicted. I recommend you contact a landlord/tenant attorney immediately.
