Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Washington
Staute of Limitations For Medical Malpractice
I had surgery on my neck in April of 1998. As a result of my surgery I suffered permananet paralysis on my left side. (my entire left arm). I am just wondering how long you have from the time the injury occurred to file a claim against the surgeon.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you very much

Re: Staute of Limitations For Medical Malpractice
You have already waited a very long time. As I recall, the statute of limitations in Washington is three years and there are exceptions. It is time for you to put your questions to rest by having a malpractice attorney examine the facts of your care and determine whether your injury was preventable. Total paralysis of an arm is a very unusual complication. You should not delay your inquiry any longer.
We represent clients who have been victims of serious injuries resulting from medical negligence. We have a interest in various kinds of medical cases. Since all members of our firm are members of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, we cannot represent clients having claims in other states unless we request and are granted limited admission to the bar of another state for the sole purpose of representing a client in a matter arising outside of Pennsylvania. Sometimes after our preliminary investigation of a matter outside of western Pennsylvania we refer the litigation of the case to a law firm in the jurisdiction where the claim arises. Whether we recommend referral of the case depends upon whether we believe our firm has a unique contribution to make because of the nature of the case.
You have sufferred a serious injury with permanent consequences. If you have an interest in our looking into the matter for you, please provide us with further details.
