Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

car accident police report

The police report stated I had previous neck and back injury, this is incorrect. The insurance co. wants to offer real low amount due this, how do I have this corrected. I already notified my then lawyer and was told to just write them a letter stating this and they would keep it on file if they needed it.

It sounds as though you did the right thing by filing the correcting letter. There are a number of arguments which could be made that any such statements in the collision report would not be admissible in evidence. The insurance company should not give it much if any weight.
