Civil Lawsuit

My parents have separate auto policys. He was at fault for an accident but his insurance has not paid the plaintiff because they have not proven injurys occured during the accident. Now the plantif is suing my mom. She was at home at the time of the accident. Does she need to worry about loosing her assets because of the lawsuit?
