Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

If the ''at fault'' driver in a wreck files bankruptcy, how does the injured get

My question is how do I get compensation paying medical bills when the at fault driver in an auto accident has filed bankruptcy?

I was injured April, 13th 2000 in a car accident that the other driver was at fault on the police report. She had no insurance, and the car wasn't in her name. My lawyer suggested I go to chiropractic, that Dr. referred me to a massage therapist.

Several months later the other driver filed for bankruptcy, my lawyer dropped my case and suggested I see a bankruptcy lawyer, I called several. Non were able to help me. And now I have around $3000.00 in past medical bills. Any suggestions?

Do you have uninsured motorist coverage?

Was the car owner, whose care you were riding or operating in, insured? Did he have uninsured motorist coverage?

Was the uninsured and bankrupt driver running an errand for anyone at the time of the collision?

Please email me answers to these questions and I can try to help you further.
