Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

Jurisdiction

Hi,

A person from a foreign country who has a student visa smashed my car windshield frame with a rock. Does a small claims court in the appropriate county have jurisdiction over this foreigner?

Re: Jurisdiction

Upon review of the facts you have given, I am inclined to comment that generally, jurisdictional issues may involve subject matter jurisdiction and personal jurisdiction. For purposes of your case at hand, more facts would be needed to review your case in greater depth. May I suggest you contact an Attorney regarding this matter.

Thank you.
