Re: settlement

This is a difficult question to answer. I need more facts. You are entitled to recover pain and suffering but typically people wait until they are stable or fully recovered to evaluate what their pain and sufferin is worth.

Please email me or call me if you have specific questions.

Re: settlement

This is the kind of question we see all the time on LawGuru.com, and which I hear in my practice. It's a simple question, but requires a LOT of information to be able to reply. But let me get to another, more important issue first: You say you STILL HAVE PAIN in your right arm. You need to know WHY you're still having pain, and what the future holds for you in that regard. THEN, you'll be at the tip of the iceberg, as to info needed to evaluate your claim.

I'd suggest, of course, that you talk with a lawyer personally. Most personal injury lawyers will NOT charge you for a consultation, and the lawyer's fee is usually contingent on the outcome -- in other words, a percentage of the total settlement or verdict.

The lawyer you speak to will need to find out a lot of info about you and your accident. Main areas: How big a smash was it, amount of medical bills, dollar amount of wage loss, liability issues (that's whether any portion of fault might be attributed to you), and MOST of all, what actually happened to you, and what your doc says the future holds.

Talk to a lawyer. Hire one, too. You're usually MUCH better off with a lawyer. The insurance companies know that you DON'T know the value of the claim, or WHEN to settle. They know all the tricks, and they know you don't know.

Good luck. Hope your arm gets better!
