Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington
Slip and fall on a Metro Bus in Seattle
I slipped and fell recently on one of Metro's busses. I received medical treatment including x-ray, ct-scan and staples in my head (which was lacerated due to the fall) When I contacted Metro to ask them to pay for my medical bills, the adjuster explained that they are a self-insured company, and they investigated and found that the driver didnt do anything wrong. She explained further that they are under no obligation to cover any of my expenses.
Is this really the case? How can they have absolutely no liability? Thank you.

Metro may well have liability. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss your potential claim. Thank you.

Metro is a common carrier and owes a higher duty to its passengers than a normal driver. Metro likely has some liability for your medical bills and associated pain and suffering.
