Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

Stroke suffered in mid-flight

My mother-in-law suffered a stroke just a few months back while flying from Seattle, WA to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I need to know what the flight crew was legally obliged to do when faced with a passenger having a stroke, as was the case with my mother-in-law.

Re: Stroke suffered in mid-flight

You question really does not have enough information to give you much of an answer other than, it depends. Where was the airplane whan she had the stroke? If it was over the Atlantic half way to EWurope, they should go ahead and continue. If they just took off, they should return and land. Of course, irt also depends on the symptoms your mother-in-law was experiencing. Whether you have a claim depends on what happenned as a result of any unreasonable delay.
