Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington
Disclosure Agreement (Death Related)
I am investigated this for a friend so please bare with me.
What are the laws concerning an agent or seller NOT disclosing a death in a home before it's sold?
Problem is that a friend purchased a home in Washington State and a year after the fact they found out someone died violently within the home.
What is the limitations in Washington on having to disclose this information? and do they have any recourse since this fact was hidden at the time of sale?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Re: Disclosure Agreement (Death Related)
Generally, every state has rules regulating disclosure for agents of the seller. Most likely, there are such rules regulating this instance, and you could likely pursue legal recourse against both the seller and the agent as the facts warrant.
